The area around Lake Shikaribetsu is a dark nature without street lights when you step away from the town.
Let’s use of our five senses to feel the darkness in the nature.
Night Tour
Night watching will be guided by Lake Shikaribetsu Nature Center.

Ｑ．１ What is the tour for？
Ａ．This tour that you can enjoy the darkness of nature using all five senses.
Walk without any light-emitting devices such as flashlights. We recommend that you dress warmly.
We also have top and bottom ski wear available for rental.※JPY500
Ｑ．２ How far will we walk？
Ａ．In January and February is a 300m round trip course on a frozen lake.
In March, we will take a car and go to a spot where can get a beautiful view of the night sky, where you can enjoy the darkness with little walking.
Ｑ．３ Can I take a photo？
Ａ．We will make the photo time. DSLR cameras and smartphones are brighter than you might imagine when used in the dark, which can leave afterimages or make it difficult to see the night sky if you are unable to adapt to the dark.
For this reason, we will separate the tour time and photo time, so that everyone who participates can enjoy themselves without stress.
