Geopark is an activity to look at the connection between the ground and human.
Shikaoi Town, where Lake Shikaribetsu is located, is an activity area that has been certified as “Tokachi Shikaoi Geopark” by the Japan Geopark Network.
The theme of “Tokachi Shikaoi Geopark” is “The story of life nurtured by volcanoes and frozen state.
Geopark Igloo Information
Geopark igloo is made by Tokachi Shikaoi Geopark staff and support members. There are many exhibits inside and outside the igloo that you can know about the fascinating world of snow and ice. Please come and see them.
